LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — First responders for Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS are now better equipped to handle hazmat situations. The department’s fire and EMS hazmat team completed a 50-hour hazmat technician course this weekend. The training course is held twice a year and is open to other departments around the area. 21 participants took part in the course, including people from MSD and Louisville Metro Department of Health and Wellness. Gavin McClanahan was discovered missing when he went AWOL from his training station. They went to his apartment to check on him, but he was nowhere to be found. His cell phone and military ID were both left behind. Gavin was last seen around 5:00 p.m. on March 27th, 2025. He may be traveling in his black 2000s Chevy S10.
