MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A domestic dispute in Mercer County resulted in the arrest of two individuals after authorities responded to a call on Sunday, June 1, at a property on Williby Farm Road.
According to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were dispatched to the scene following a report of a domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival, deputies spoke with a family member who stated she received a call from her son, Bradley Williby, claiming his wife, Amie Daversa, had cut him with a knife.
The family member said she went to the shed where the couple was living and was told by Daversa that Williby was “drug sick” and that she intended to “shoot him” with drugs. The woman then contacted 911.
Deputies A.M. Presley and J.M. Pinter accompanied the responding officer to the shed, where they encountered Williby. He informed them that his wife was inside.
When officers entered, they found Daversa hiding under a blanket beside a bed. She told authorities that Williby had punched her in the face and on the back of her head.
While officers spoke with Daversa, Williby reiterated to Deputy Presley that he had been cut by Daversa with a knife.
Both individuals were arrested at the scene.
Officials also noted that Bradley Williby had an active warrant for second-offense shoplifting at the time of his arrest.
