
CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Public Service Commission of West Virginia has scheduled a public comment hearing and an evidentiary hearing for the acquisition of Frontier Communications by Verizon Communications Inc.
The public comment hearing begins at 4 p.m. on June 11 and the evidentiary hearing for the case begins the following day at 9:30 a.m., both to be held at PSC headquarters at 201 Brooks St., Charleston.
Those who wish to participate in the public comment hearing should register with the Commission by 4 p.m. on June 10. All written comments should be marked as pertaining to Case No. 24-0853-T-PC.
The Commission has set aside two days following the public comment hearing to take evidence on the joint application filed by the companies on October 31, 2024. They seek approval for Verizon to acquire Frontier Communications and its subsidiaries, including Frontier West Virginia Inc., Citizens Telecommunications Company of West Virginia, and Frontier Communications of America, Inc.
