
BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 6 p.m. to midnight.
The checkpoint will be set up on U.S. Route 19 in Beckley.
The effort is part of a statewide initiative funded by the West Virginia Commission on Drunk Driving Prevention.
In addition to identifying impaired drivers, deputies will be checking for valid registration and insurance, as well as seat belt and other occupant safety violations.
