MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A manager at two Opportunity Knocks locations has been charged with two counts of grand larceny after allegedly stealing more than $21,000 from the company’s Princeton and Bluewell offices.
On Thursday, May 15, 2025, just before 9:30 a.m., a West Virginia State Police officer responded to the business on Frontage Road following a report from Operations Manager Brian Presley, who suspected internal theft. Presley told authorities that an employee had taken large sums of money from both locations.
The accused, identified as Amie Rolls, was taken to the Princeton State Police detachment for questioning. After being read her rights, Rolls agreed to provide a statement, admitting that she had taken money from the businesses.
According to her confession, Rolls began a romantic relationship in January 2025 with a man identified as Detriuss Martin, who she claims became abusive and pressured her into stealing the money under the guise of “flipping” it for profit. Rolls said she took cash from both sites on multiple occasions and handed it over to Martin.
With her consent, officers searched Rolls’ phone and recovered messages between her and Martin—saved under the name “Face”—that discussed various amounts of money, further supporting the allegations.
Later that day, Presley confirmed the exact amounts missing:
-
$10,620.58 from the Bluewell location
-
$10,955.12 from the Princeton location
Rolls was formally arrested and charged with two counts of grand larceny.
