CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A lucky Powerball player is $1 million richer after purchasing a winning ticket at Mardi Gras Casino in Cross Lanes.
The winning ticket from Saturday’s drawing matched all five white ball numbers — 5, 20, 28, 39, and 42 — but missed the red Power Ball number 13.
The ticket holder did not purchase the Power Play option, which would have increased non-jackpot winnings.
The West Virginia Lottery urges the winner to sign the back of the ticket and contact their office at 304-558-0500 for instructions on how to claim the prize.
Saturday’s draw was part of the ongoing Powerball series, which offers nine prize tiers, with winnings ranging from $4 to the multi-million dollar jackpot.
The current jackpot stands at $93 million.
Powerball tickets cost $2, or $3 with the Power Play add-on. Tickets for the next drawing must be purchased by 9:59 p.m. on Monday.
