FORT WORTH, TEXAS — June 15, 2025 — With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Thomas Edward Fincher, age 41, of Fort Worth, who was called home to be with the Lord on June 11, 2025. A man of unwavering faith and deep compassion, Thomas’s life was a testament to love, dedication, and selfless service. His unexpected departure has left an unfillable void in the lives of those who knew and cherished him, but his legacy—built on kindness, integrity, and faith—will continue to shine through the lives he touched.
Born in Fort Worth on April 8, 1984, Thomas was a proud Texan who embodied the values of strength, loyalty, and humility. From a young age, he stood out as a pillar of strength and support to his family and community. He carried those values with him into adulthood, where he became known as a devoted husband, loving father, faithful son, and loyal friend. Thomas had a quiet strength, one that didn’t demand attention but instead gave reassurance and peace to those around him.
Professionally, Thomas dedicated much of his career to serving others. Whether through his work in community outreach, mentorship programs, or within his church, he consistently chose paths that allowed him to give back. He wasn’t one to seek the spotlight; instead, he made an impact in quiet, powerful ways—through one-on-one conversations, late-night prayers, and small, consistent acts of love and kindness.
Above all, Thomas was a man of deep and abiding faith. He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church, where he served as a deacon and mentor to many young men searching for purpose. His faith wasn’t performative; it was lived daily, with a humility and gentleness that drew others in. He believed in the power of redemption, forgiveness, and hope, and he modeled those beliefs in every corner of his life.
Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Rebecca Fincher, who was his rock and partner in both joy and sorrow; his three children—Eli, Jordan, and Abigail—who were the pride and joy of his life; his parents, Edward and Charlene Fincher, who instilled in him the values that defined his path; his siblings, Michelle (David) Carter and Jonathan Fincher, and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends and church members who were like family.
His absence will be deeply felt at every family gathering, Sunday morning service, and community event. But his spirit will forever remain in the laughter of his children, the warmth of a shared prayer, and the continued acts of kindness he inspired in others.
A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Fellowship Church in Fort Worth, with Pastor David Lang officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 16, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Riverside Memorial Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Grace Fellowship Youth Ministry Fund, a cause Thomas was deeply passionate about.
As we mourn the loss of Thomas Edward Fincher, we also celebrate the extraordinary life he lived. His was a life marked by purpose, grounded in love, and illuminated by faith. Though gone too soon, Thomas leaves behind a radiant legacy—a light that will continue to guide, inspire, and uplift all who were blessed to know him.
