MARSHALL COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Marshall County Assessor Eric Buzzard has been arrested on seven felony counts related to fraudulent schemes, according to a statement from Sheriff Mike Dougherty.
The arrest follows a lengthy investigation conducted by the West Virginia State Police in coordination with the West Virginia State Auditor’s Office.
Authorities allege Buzzard engaged in fraudulent activities, though further details about the nature of the charges were not immediately released.
The sheriff’s office announced the arrest in a press release issued June 13.
