BRAXTON COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A 62-year-old man from Elkview was killed Wednesday afternoon in a motorcycle crash near the Gerald R. Freeman Campground.
According to the West Virginia State Police, the crash occurred around 1:20 p.m. on W.Va. Route 15, approximately two-tenths of a mile east of the campground.
Investigators say the motorcycle, operated by Jeffrey Robertson, crossed the centerline and struck an oncoming vehicle head-on. Robertson was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported to Braxton Memorial Hospital by ambulance.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the West Virginia State Police.
