HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Huntington man is facing multiple charges after West Virginia State Police responded to a domestic violence call on Sunday, June 1.
Trooper T.A. Ellis was dispatched around 9:15 p.m. to a residence on Darnell Road in the Huntington area of Cabell County following a report of a physical altercation.
The caller told Cabell County 911 that her husband, 35-year-old Tyekey Donnell Manley, became violent during an argument and struck her in the face after she refused his sexual advances.
When Trooper Ellis arrived at the scene minutes later, he encountered the victim, who appeared emotionally distressed and gave an initial statement captured on the trooper’s body camera.
The victim reported that Manley had placed his hands on her aggressively and hit her in the face.
During further conversation, the woman described a pattern of both emotional and physical abuse.
She also recounted past incidents, including one where Manley allegedly strangled her and several instances where he stalked and harassed her, causing significant emotional distress.
Trooper Ellis verified that Manley had a prior domestic battery conviction from October 30, 2024, involving the same victim. A criminal history check confirmed a record of assault and battery offenses.
Based on the investigation, Manley was charged with second-offense domestic battery, domestic assault, and harassment.
