MONTGOMERY, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A Montgomery man is facing multiple petit larceny charges after allegedly stealing several items from his own mother’s home across two separate incidents.
According to Montgomery Police Chief Paris Workman, the victim filed a written complaint stating that her son, Carlton Allen Blankenship, was seen taking a 42-inch television (valued at $250) and a Dewalt drill and charger(valued at $150) from her residence without permission. A friend alerted the mother after reportedly spotting Blankenship carrying the TV down an alley behind her home. When she returned, the items were missing. That incident occurred between January 24 and January 31, 2025.
The thefts didn’t stop there.
On Saturday, March 1, Chief Workman responded to another complaint in Montgomery. The mother reported that Blankenship had once again entered her home and took $17 worth of lottery tickets and her hair and beard trimmers.
Blankenship is now being charged with multiple counts of petit larceny.
