
HURRICANE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A vehicle crashed into a swimming pool late Thursday morning near Mile Marker 36 on Interstate 64, prompting an emergency response from local agencies.
At approximately 11:41 a.m., Hurricane Fire & Rescue was dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle collision with injury at the entrance to the I-64 rest area.
Upon arrival, crews discovered that the vehicle had left the roadway and ended up in a swimming pool.
Six firefighters responded to the incident along with an engine and chief officer apparatus.
They were assisted at the scene by West Virginia State Police.
The driver of the vehicle was transported for medical treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been released.
