MONTGOMERY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Montgomery is calling on residents to help shape the future of a former school site that was destroyed by fire in 2022.
A community meeting focused on visioning and site reuse will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Montgomery City Hall, located at 321 4th Avenue.
The building, located at 133 5th Avenue, has remained a challenge for cleanup and remediation since the fire.
The City is seeking public input to reimagine the space and determine its best possible use.
This session is being organized with support from the Brownfields Assistance Centers at Marshall University and West Virginia University.
City officials encourage all residents to attend, share ideas, and collaborate on the site’s future.
Light refreshments will be provided, and the session will conclude prior to the City Council meeting at 6 p.m.
