WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – Mardi Gras Casino has been honored as the Best Casino in West Virginia in the inaugural International Casino Awards, organized by Casinos.com, part of the Nasdaq-listed Gambling.com Group.
The awards, announced in May to coincide with the first-ever International Casinos Day, were decided entirely by public vote. Voting opened in April and closed on May 15, allowing players to have their say on the casinos they value most.
“The International Casino Awards is for casino patrons, not industry insiders,” said Lee Gwilliam, Senior Vice President of Casinos.com. “We wanted players to have their say in what really matters to them.”
The awards also recognize global standouts, including Best Casino in the World (won by Bellagio), Best Casino Restaurant (Le Train Bleu), and unique categories like the Royal Flush Awards for the best casino restrooms (The Cosmopolitan).
Colm Phelan, Brand Manager at Casinos.com, praised the player-led approach: “It’s fantastic to celebrate the outstanding work casinos do globally and in their local communities. Players from West Virginia voted for Mardi Gras Casino because they genuinely believe it offers the best casino experience in the region.”
He added, “Today’s casinos offer so much more than slots or blackjack — they’re world-class resorts featuring Michelin-starred restaurants, luxury spas, and incredible entertainment.”
Mardi Gras Casino’s recognition highlights its growing reputation as a premier gaming and entertainment destination in West Virginia.
