
BOONE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Sixteen individuals are behind bars following a large-scale warrant sweep conducted in Boone County on Wednesday, according to the West Virginia State Police.
Dubbed “Operation Spring Cleaning,” the sweep was carried out by troopers from the Madison and Whitesville detachments, with support from the US 119 Task Force.
In total, 16 people were arrested on 17 felony charges and 47 misdemeanor charges.
Authorities also reported the seizure of approximately 10 grams of methamphetamine, 60 grams of fentanyl, one firearm, and $1,100 in cash during the operation.
The West Virginia State Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected in connection with Operation Spring Cleaning.
