
MORGANTOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – West Virginia University Police have issued a Campus Warningfollowing a reported burglary at 709 North High Street near WVU’s Downtown campus.
The incident occurred on Friday, May 23, when an individual broke a window and forced entry into the residence, which is identified as a fraternity house.
The suspect was confronted by one of the occupants before fleeing the scene with a blanket.
WVU Police describe the suspect as a white male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, with tattoos on his arms, hands, and possibly neck. The suspect has not been identified at this time.
Shortly after the burglary was reported, officers also discovered signs of an attempted vehicle break-in at a nearby parking lot.
Authorities are actively investigating and urge residents in the area to check that all doors, windows, and entry points are secure.
Community members are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior.
