DOHA, QATAR (LOOTPRESS) – During a panel at the Qatar Economic Forum on Wednesday, Donald Trump Jr. said he isn’t ruling out a future presidential run, signaling that he may one day seek to extend his family’s political dynasty.
“Maybe one day … that calling is there,” Trump Jr. said when asked about his own political ambitions. “I think my father has truly changed the Republican Party.”
Currently serving as executive vice president of the Trump Organization, Trump Jr. remains a prominent figure in the MAGA movement and plays a behind-the-scenes role in shaping his father’s political future. He’s also known for his fierce presence on social media, often acting as a key messenger for the Trump base and aggressively targeting critics of the former president.
At the forum, Trump Jr. defended his father’s policy agenda, particularly on trade, saying it has been mischaracterized by the media. “Changes take time,” he said, dismissing public concerns over economic disruption as “media-fueled hysteria.”
Although Trump Jr. denied in March that he was planning a 2028 presidential bid, he emphasized his political influence within the GOP. He noted his role in encouraging his father to choose Sen. JD Vance as a vice presidential pick — calling Vance “an instant power player” in Republican politics.
While Trump Jr. hasn’t made any formal moves toward candidacy, his growing influence and public appearances are keeping speculation alive about a possible future run — especially among those eager to see the Trump political brandcontinue beyond his father’s leadership.
