
WYOMING COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Between March 25 and May 11, 2025, a series of undercover drug operations led by Sgt. L.M. Cook resulted in multiple controlled purchases of methamphetamine and fentanyl from a local suspect in the Ravencliff area.
Using a cooperating source, Sgt. Cook conducted three controlled buys of meth and five of fentanyl, all exchanged for U.S. currency. Each transaction was documented through audio and video recording devices as part of the investigation.
The suspect, identified as James Larry Smith, is now facing multiple charges related to the illegal sale and distribution of controlled substances.
The case highlights ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to combat drug trafficking in Wyoming County.
