A tragic early-morning shooting outside a popular Seattle nightclub has left three people dead and one man in critical condition. Among the victims confirmed by authorities is 28-year-old Breon Dinish, a Seattle native whose death has sent ripples of grief through the local community.
The incident unfolded around 1 a.m. Saturday outside the OHM Club, located at 172 South Washington Street in the heart of Pioneer Square. Seattle Police and emergency crews responded quickly to reports of multiple gunshots. Upon arrival, officers found two men and one woman fatally wounded. A fourth victim, a man, was transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
Breon Dinish has been identified as one of the men killed in the attack. Described by friends and family as kind, driven, and deeply loved, Dinish was a well-known figure in his neighborhood and among the city’s creative and social circles.
“He was the kind of person who lit up a room,” said one family friend. “Breon had dreams, compassion, and was always looking out for others. This is an unimaginable loss for everyone who knew him.”
No Suspects in Custody as Police Search for Leads
As of Sunday morning, no suspects have been arrested, and police say the investigation is ongoing. Detectives are combing through surveillance footage from the area and urging witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Seattle Police Chief Adrian Diaz addressed the media briefly, saying, “This was a brutal act of violence. We are fully committed to identifying those responsible and ensuring justice for the victims and their families.”
Authorities have not yet determined a motive, and it remains unclear whether the victims were targeted or caught in the crossfire of an altercation. Pioneer Square, while known for its vibrant nightlife, has seen an increase in violent incidents in recent months—raising concerns among residents and business owners.
A Rising Pattern of Violence in Pioneer Square
Saturday’s shooting is part of a disturbing trend. Since the beginning of the year, Pioneer Square has experienced a spike in shootings, assaults, and other violent crimes. Local leaders are calling for immediate action to address public safety.
“Breon’s death cannot be just another statistic,” said one local council member. “We need meaningful strategies to protect our communities and ensure these tragedies don’t continue.”
Community in Mourning
A growing memorial outside the OHM Club now includes flowers, candles, and handwritten notes for Dinish and the other victims. On social media, tributes have poured in as friends and strangers alike express sorrow and solidarity.
“This doesn’t feel real. We just talked days ago,” one post read. “Rest in power, Breon. You deserved so much more.”
As investigators continue their work, the community is left in mourning—searching for answers, demanding justice, and remembering the life of a man taken too soon.
Seattle Police encourage anyone with tips or video footage to contact their violent crimes tip line. Anonymous reports can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers.
