
FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Fayette County Assessor’s Office has released the official schedule for the 2025 Rabies Clinic, providing local pet owners with convenient opportunities to vaccinate their dogs and cats across multiple locations.
In compliance with West Virginia state law, all dogs six months or older are required to receive a rabies vaccine and pay a $3 county dog tax.
Vaccinations will be administered by licensed veterinary professionals and are available for both dogs and cats.
In addition to rabies shots, other vaccines such as distemper, parvo-virus, bordetella, leukemia (for cats), and more will be offered at reasonable rates.

- Rabies: Dogs $10 | Cats $10
- Distemper: Dogs $12 | Cats $12
- Parvo-Virus: Dogs $25
- Bordetella: Dogs $12
- Leukemia: Cats $12

Pet owners are reminded that all dogs, whether licensed or not, that bite any person must be quarantined for 14 days for rabies observation.
