
HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – In the early hours of May 14, 2025, a domestic dispute escalated into violence at a residence on Guyan Avenue, resulting in one person being injured and another taken into custody.
At approximately 3:01 a.m., officers responded to St. Mary’s Hospital, where a woman reported that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend during a heated argument around 2:30 a.m. According to her statement, the altercation turned physical when the suspect allegedly slapped her, grabbed her by the hair, and held her down.
The woman said she managed to break free, but as she stood up, she was pushed into a wall, causing her arm to crash through a window. She sustained a medium laceration below her elbow that required immediate medical attention.
Due to the severity and bleeding of the wound, officers were unable to photograph the injury at the scene.
Officers responded to the residence on Guyan Avenue, where they located and arrested the suspect, identified as Brian Norman, without incident. He was transported to police headquarters for processing and later taken to the Western Regional Jail on a charge of domestic battery.
