MONONGALIA COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Authorities are investigating after a body was discovered Monday afternoon along Interstate 68.
Deputies with the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office responded to the westbound shoulder near Exit 1 around 12:15 p.m., following reports of a deceased person in the area.
The victim has been identified as 56-year-old Aaron Monette of New York.
Officials say the circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation.
Monette’s body was sent to the West Virginia Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and further analysis.
