POCAHONTAS COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – At its meeting on Tuesday, May 6, the Pocahontas County Board of Education voted to appoint Dr. Leatha Williams as the new superintendent of schools.
She will officially begin her duties on July 1, 2025.
Dr. Williams brings a strong background in education administration, having most recently served as Director of Technology, Assessment, Accountability, and Food Services for Braxton County Schools.
According to Pocahontas County Schools, throughout her career, she has focused on improving student achievement, increasing family engagement, and enhancing school safety.
The board cited her leadership experience and dedication to educational progress in making their decision.
