
KANAWHA COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A 22-year-old man is facing multiple charges after firing shots at a tractor trailer during a road rage incident on Interstate 77 Wednesday afternoon.
According to the West Virginia State Police, Cpl. S. J. Borsman responded to a report of shots fired around 4:47 p.m. near mile marker 86 southbound in Kanawha County.
The suspect, identified as Scott Walker of Winifrede, contacted Metro 911 and turned himself in.
Investigators determined that Walker fired two rounds from a 9mm handgun at a tractor trailer driven by Singh Gurpreet, 33, of Hendricks, Indiana.
Both bullets struck near the driver’s side door of the truck. No injuries were reported.
Walker surrendered the firearm to authorities and was arrested at the scene. Officers recovered two shell casings and one spent round as evidence.
Walker has been charged with two counts of wanton endangerment and one count of brandishing a weapon.
