
BECKLEY,WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Beckley Sanitary Board is advising residents and visitors of an upcoming temporary road closure on Pinewood Drive in the Maxwell Hill area of Beckley.
Pinewood Drive is the frequently traveled residential roadway that many drivers utilize to travel between the shopping center area in North Beckley and Harper Road.
The BSB stormwater utility is completing emergency replacement of the storm sewer under the roadway.
The road closure is scheduled to commence on May 12, 2025.
Closure Details:
Location: Pinewood Drive, between Maxwell Hill Rd and Christopher Dr, Beckley, WV 25801.
Start Date: May 12, 2025
Estimated End Date: May 16, 2025
Reason: Emergency storm sewer replacement
During this period, Pinewood Drive will be closed to all through traffic between the intersections of Maxwell Hill Rd and Christopher Dr. Local residents within the closure area will have access to their properties at all times but may experience temporary disruptions and need to use alternate routes.
Detour Information: Traffic will be rerouted via Maxwell Hill Rd and Christopher Dr. Detour signs will be prominently displayed, and drivers are requested to follow the posted signage, speed limits and plan their routes and travel time accordingly.
