
RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 6 p.m. to midnight.
The checkpoint will be set up on U.S. Route 19 in Beaver.
This enforcement effort is funded by a grant from the West Virginia Commission on Drunk Driving Prevention.
In addition to identifying impaired drivers, deputies will check for valid registration and insurance, as well as occupant safety violations.
Drivers are reminded that impaired driving can result in arrest.
