
HICO, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A bicyclist suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle along U.S. Route 60 near Hico on Monday, May 5, according to the West Virginia State Police.
Troopers Corporal S.G. Milam and Senior Trooper J.J. Stewart responded to the scene of the collision, which occurred on the Midland Trail.
The injured bicyclist was airlifted to Charleston Area Medical Center General Hospital for treatment.
U.S. 60 was closed for several hours while authorities conducted a traffic investigation.
The State Police crash reconstruction team was called in to assist with the ongoing investigation.
