GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for 52-year-old Jason Roberts of Renick, who is wanted on multiple felony warrants stemming from a March 2025 incident. Charges include grand larceny, breaking and entering, and destruction of property.
On Tuesday, May 6, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a report from an off-duty law enforcement officer who believed they saw Roberts outside a residence on Benedict Lane. Before deputies could arrive on the scene, Roberts reportedly left the area as a passenger in a vehicle.
Deputies later located the vehicle on Vago Road, but Roberts had already fled on foot into a wooded area. Despite an extensive ground search involving K9 units from the Lewisburg Police Department, Roberts was not found. Authorities believe he may have received assistance and escaped in a second vehicle.
While it is currently unknown whether Roberts is armed, law enforcement cautions that he has been known to carry weapons in the past. The public is urged not to approach him if seen. Instead, anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact 911 or the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office at 304-647-6634. All tips will be kept confidential.
