
MARLINTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Town of Marlinton is now accepting applications for the position of Chief of Police.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, at least 21 years of age, and certified in law enforcement.
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with the ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Candidates must be in good physical condition and able to pass a background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation.
The Chief of Police will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the police department, ensuring public safety, fostering positive community relationships, and enforcing laws and town ordinances.
The position offers paid holidays, personal days, sick and vacation leave, health insurance, and state retirement benefits.
Starting salary ranges from $47,500 to $57,500, depending on experience.
