FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man previously banned from Walmart is under investigation after allegedly shoplifting nearly $300 worth of merchandise from the Fayetteville Walmart on Saturday evening.
According to the Fayetteville Police Department, Patrolman M. S. Kees responded to a call around 8:30 p.m. on April 26 from Walmart Asset Protection Associate Sam McCormick, who reported the theft. The incident occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m. at Walmart store #1360, located at 204 Town Center Road.
McCormick stated he witnessed a man, identified as Juwuan Watts, enter the store from the General Merchandise (GM) side with a shopping cart taken from the parking lot. Watts reportedly proceeded directly to the playing cards aisle, spending several minutes placing cards into his cart before concealing them in two gift bags taken from the celebration section.
Watts then exited the store without paying, loading the concealed merchandise into what was believed to be a black Nissan Rogue. The total value of the stolen items was listed at $282.79.
Walmart officials confirmed that Watts had previously been trespassed from the property, making his entry and theft a violation of that order.
