BARBOUR COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A woman is facing felony charges after allegedly attacking her ex-boyfriend with a knife during a violent confrontation Wednesday afternoon.
According to Police, officers were approached around 4:45 p.m. by William Miller, who reported that his ex-girlfriend, Barbara Delauder, had just assaulted him with a knife inside his apartment. Miller told officers Delauder also issued a chilling threat during the attack: “Next time, it will be your throat that gets cut.”
Miller sustained a deep cut to his left arm, and officers observed visible blood and a torn shirt sleeve at the scene. He provided a written statement and a video recording of the incident, which police reviewed.
In the video, Delauder is seen turning abruptly and lunging at Miller, making several jabbing motions with the knife. Miller can be heard yelling “stop” repeatedly as he tries to escape. He eventually fled the apartment and sought help from law enforcement.
Police later located Delauder about two blocks from the apartment and took her into custody without incident. She has been charged with malicious assault.
